“I can lie in the sun all day.”

The smell of the sea

I love the beach, the smell of the sea lets you know when you’re close. Johnnie lets me off leash from the car so we head down the trail and the ravine between the eroding cliff. Oh yeah. I love to dash about on the sand.

There is always something stinky lying on the sand that draws my attention:  seaweed, a dead bird, who knows, but the best is the smell coming off the water; so clean, so fresh, and Johnnie says there’s lots of free radicals, whatever that means.

Phot of me running on the sand with my ears up and lots of disturbed sand.
Sand is fun :>)

I love running in the wet sand, avoiding the waves as they push up the beach. A dash here and a dash there as a nearby wave smashes into the surf. Joanna will chase me about. Whoa, a wave, better run.

The soft sand is fun too. It moves, which makes me bounce and dig, which moves the sand which makes  me bounce and dig and on and on this goes until Joanna laughs and I look up and there she is with a big smile on her face. What a life.

Off we go at a good run. The nearby waves crash pushing the waves up near my paws as my prints slowly disappear with the receding wave. Higher we run on the beach and a good dig here and there and off we go. Yeah!
