Poos

What? I don’t understand. What is a poo? Hmm. It seems that smaller dogs larger than a Miniature poodle yet smaller than a Standard poodle. How is that possible? Look at the math. But my friends Zilla and Missy and I are all twenty two pounds.

Now show me a twenty two pound poodle. They would not be up to AKC standards per se. Or maybe I’m wrong, or maybe they just eat too much. Remember, overweight and out of shape makes for an unhappy puppy. We want exercise, even if it’s chasing a squeaky toy for a while.

Anyway, what is a poo? To me a poo is a mixture of some breed with a poodle that results in a small dog ranging from several pounds to twenty something. After that, you start getting into the doodle mixes. The reason I think that is, well, Maltipoo, Cockapoo, Shih-poo for example are all small dogs while labradoodles and goldendoodles are large dogs. Whew, I’m glad that’s settled. Or maybe it isn’t. Maybe it is just the better sounding name. I need a nap. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzz.

Oh, what’s that. Johnnie wants me awake.  Oh yeah, poos. Well, we’re toy medium sized dogs with poodle traits and the traits of the other breed. Sometimes we may be a double poo where one or both parents are a poo or a poodoodle whatever that is. So this website explores the poos and doodles by looking at the breed that poodles are mixed with and examining the pluses and minuses of each breed. This isn’t rocket science, it’s biology, so there is much variation and uncertainty. I mean just look at a litter of purebreds, they can be all the same color, a mixture of solid colors or a variety of colors. Wow and we’re not even discussing behavior.

So, if you’re looking for a small dog to be your friend. We’re easy to travel with as we fit in your lap. We love company, so don’t leave us alone all day. You can even find a toy version who can fit in your coat pocket. Oh what fun.

As you contemplate you new companion, think about things like, how much exercise can I provide t my friend, how much time will my friend spend alone everyday (if you have other furry friends the poo can hang with, then they can persist longer) do you have time and money to groom and feed your us. The answers to these questions will guide you with your decision making. Remember, we are warm-blooded furry friends who hope you make the right decision and give us some love in return. How about a hug?
