Chillin’ with Joanna.

I love hanging out on Saturday morning at Joanna’s place. On a calm morning I can sit on the porch and listen to the birds sing. It can be chilly early so I keep a sweater on and lie on my bed. Joanna is up and fiddling about between her bedroom and bathroom so I just watch as a narrow black and white bird with an orange beak yaks for a few seconds then dives face first into the water. Wow, I hate water on my face. Anyway, the bird pops up with a jerking silver thing in its mouth that it flips around and the snack slips down the birds throat; off it goes into the air, yak-yak.
Speaking of snacks, where is Joanna. I run inside, down the hall and jump on the bed so I can stare at her standing in the bathroom staring at me. What? I hop off the bed and run over and rub her leg and get a few light taps on the head so I lick her leg and follow her into the bedroom. I run ahead, jump on the bed and roll on my back. Joanna jumps next to me and rubs my belly while making noises like that yacky bird.
I follow her down the hall to the kitchen where snacks are prepared and off to the porch we go. I jump on the swinging love seat and look through the slot at the birds flying over the water.
Mornings are my favorite. Joanna has me shift, so I jump to the floor below the table and salivate anticipating a several tasty morsels.
